ABC RANKING belongs to ABC Advanced & Better Consulting headquartered in Hong Kong, China, which specializes in world and China university rankings and ratings, and has a wide influence in China and even globally. ABC’s rankings and ratings have been widely used and reported by variety of authoritative media, and have been deeply cited on different media platforms in China all year round, which is an important reference for all kinds of candidates to pursue further education and study abroad, and employers to recruit.
ABC World University Ranking started in 2020. ABC’s method for world university ranking is divided into 5 indicators: research, alumni, resources, globalization and reputation. Based on the latest exclusive research on world university ratings results, a type of fuzzy ranking of world’s universities, and the world’s Top 1000 university rankings was obtained through classification, segmentation and quantitative comparison; for rankings beyond 1000, please refer to the latest result of world university rating.
The World University Rating is a fuzzy ranking for all universities in the world, which can be divided into five classes based on the comprehensive strength, i.e. AA, AB, BB, BC and CC. There are 300 universities in Class A (including AA and AB), and 700 universities in Class B (including BB and BC), and all of those are ABC’s Top 1000 universities in the world in the same year.

Additionally, each class is also divided into several rating levels. In the early stage, it is planned to be divided into 18 ratings, with a total of 2500 universities, and in the future, it will increase to 20 ratings with a total of 5000 universities.

ABC’s China University Ranking, which is called CNUR for short and started in 2004, is a kind of evaluation ranking mainly aimed at public universities in mainland China, while private universities will be evaluated separately. Such ranking is based on the rating results of Chinese universities, which is obtained through a comprehensive comparison of eight perspectives: educational level, budget, discipline construction, teaching construction, faculty, academic level, employment level, and annual public opinion, which has a huge impact on China and has been widely recognized. It is an important reference for candidates to apply for universities.
ABC’s China private university ranking is made according to the rating results of Chinese private universities. The evaluation method consists of six perspectives: talent cultivation, social influence, teaching construction, quality education, academic research, as well as cooperation & exchange.
